Our sports facilities
Full-sized football pitch 2 basketball courts (with adjustable hoops to make basket heights suitable for younger age groups) 2 youth-sized football pitches 25-meter swimming pool 200 meter running track Due to our spacious campus, we regularly host games and tournaments. Several outside clubs and schools also use our facilities to train and hold competitions.
Throughout the year, different sports teams train. Term 1 focuses on football while term 2 is basketball. For both of these, there are U11 –U18 teams. During the term, there are various tournaments and competitions that HOPAC participates in. Swim team training is offered all year for both Primary and Secondary. We provide opportunities for our swimmers to compete in developmental and competitive swim galas based on their level of swimming. Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball are also offered as after-school activities.
International Schools from all over Tanzania compete in various Sports. HOPAC is a proud participants and we are thankful for all the awards won over the years.
International Christian Schools Association (ICSA), its a Group of Christian international schools in Africa (HOPAC being a founding school) that came together to form a competitive sports tournament to be held on an annual basis (if possible). The tournament rotates among participating schools. HOPAC last hosted this tournament for football in 2018. It is mostly football and basketball for now and if one year football is the sport then the next year it is basketball. In Feb 13-15, 2026 we were privileged to host again the tournament.
It was a great privilege to host the TISA Swimming Gala 2025. TISA, an association of international schools, brought together a wonderful community, and hosting them was a highlight to the school.
