Haven of Peace Academy helps facilitate the work of missionaries in Dar es Salaam. We have 35 mission organisations represented in our community all working in and around the city. As a result the Tanzanian church is strengthened, progress is made in church planting, and the disadvantaged are supported.
It is not just the parents that are part of serving our community. At HOPAC our Service Learning programme is an important part of school life, both for the students and for the staff. Service Learning runs throughout the school with our secondary school working with our community partners each week. We work with local schools, NGOs, orphanages, hospitals and mission organisations. This provides an opportunity for our staff to facilitate students’ learning about service.
